Life's surprises shape our path, and seizing unexpected opportunities leads to extraordinary destinations.
After college in New York, I decided to move west and I ended up living in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I fell in love with the area's beauty, but then moved to the front range and settled in Morrison, surrounded by the majestic red rocks. With the new change of scenery, I felt inspired to continue exploring new horizons.
Life has an amazing way of surprising us, and my journey into the world of real estate is a testament to that. It all began with a series of unexpected twists that led me down this path. While I had been working in my family business, I was offered an opportunity to become a pharmaceutical sales representative and I excelled at it. I was doing really well for myself, and everything seemed to be going smoothly. However, when an opportunity for a promotion arose, I found myself facing a difficult choice.
The promotion seemed like a fantastic opportunity, but it required me to be on the road 50% of the time. With a young son at home, the idea of being away constantly didn't sit right with me. I had to make a tough decision and find a new direction, leaving behind the job that had been going so well. As they say, when one door closes, another one opens.
It was here that a friend introduced me to the world of real estate – a door was opened. After leaving my job in pharmaceuticals, I was recommended to apply for a receptionist position with a local REALTOR®. Given my background, I had one condition: I would only take the job if I could also become licensed to sell real estate for the company. Thankfully they agreed, and that's how my real estate career officially began.
Real Estate became a passion of mine. Often, real estate is the greatest investment of your life, and I felt a true calling in guiding people through that experience. My future in real estate was solidified when an incredible opportunity presented itself – a friend asked me to sell their million-dollar listing. It was a leap of faith, and I took it. Through that one sale, my business and confidence began to flourish.
Now, years later, as I reflect on my journey, I see that every small step taught me a valuable lesson, and every opportunity, no matter how big or small, led me here!
